Position Overview
The Contract Specialist coordinates accurate, timely and appropriate implementation of payer contracts, and helps maximize the opportunity to improve profitability at each anniversary. Helps negotiate and administer all terms/rates for new and renewal managed care contracts, school contracts, and subcontracts.
The starting pay for our Contracts Specialist is $42,500 per year. Essential Job Functions
• Analyzes contract terms, conditions and documentation prior to execution of contract to ensure contract terms are within acceptable company terms.
• Completes and forwards appropriate contract materials to Aveanna Help Desk to ensure entry into Encore billing system
• Acts as liaison between Managed Care, the Payer, Revenue Cycle Management, and field locations regarding contract issues
• Assists in the creation of contract highlights for field locations and corporate departments to use as a reference tool for important contract points.
• Upload and maintains contracts on Aveanna Home Page
• Forwards necessary contract information updates to appropriate Aveanna locations and departments explaining contract guidelines
• Maintains consistent and standard contract files as defined by the Aveanna Legal Department.
• Administers Aveanna’s CRM system to meet company needs/wants/functionality.
• Responsible for returning signed contracts to payers and following up to ensure timely return of fully executed contracts.
Requirements
• College degree required.
• Two years ancillary Managed Care Contracting experience and/or experience in payer/provider relations issues.
• Ability to discern compliance issues and communicate required changes.
• Basic facility with MS Word and Excel
Preferences
• Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Sales Net, Salesforce) helpful.
