Arcadis seeks an Office Engineer to join our team in Selma, CA team to support the field office construction management team in the documentation of the project construction to assure compliance with the plans, specifications, standard plans and specifications, and change orders.

Role description:
The Office Engineer is committed to making certain that the project moves smoothly, ensuring teamwork, efficiency, and clear communication with project team members including Contractors, Agencies, and staff. Duties include coordination with the project owner and contractors, City, client, and consultant engineering and inspection staff on highway projects. There may be some fieldwork, but approximately 80% of the time for this position will include time in the office performing field administration work.
Role accountabilities:
- Ensuring project documentation is processed in a timely manner and is retrievable.
- Provides direction to and supervises office technician(s) and/or other administrative staff.
- Manages and maintains pertinent contract documents and references specific to the project.
- Develops and maintains an organized and complete set of records and procedures for the project.
- Organize project records and preparation of contract change orders.
- Timely processing of all documents and work logs including but not limited to weekly statements of working days, submittals for review, information requests, Observation Reports and Daily Inspection Report Tracking. change orders, payments, payment estimates, and project contingency balances.
- Monitors labor compliance.
- Monitors and schedules all necessary construction flagging and road closures. staking/surveys, field and material inspections and preliminary, acceptance, and specialty testing as required throughout the contract.
- Maintains the as-built drawings for change order Construction updates and assists the project lead in ensuring field staff updates as-built drawings as required.
- Assists the project lead in preparing final project closeout documents, including the resolution of potential claims.
- Coordination with third-party agencies and assist Field Staff as required.
- Coordinate with the contractor to ensure documentation is properly submitted and approved.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Apps

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $85,000 – $133,000.
