Description
Position Purpose:
Charis Marketing team in Woodland Park, Colorado is looking to fill the role of an Online Video Platform Specialist. This position will oversee the strategy and daily management of our Charis YouTube channels and individual videos in support of channel growth, engagement, and conversion goals. Contribute to an environment that encourages teamwork, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking, all to see lives changed by the Gospel! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, creating and launching a YouTube channel, optimizing our existing channel and content, and conducting target audience and competitive research. You will be responsible for tracking results and communicating the performance of each campaign and recommending ways to adjust and improve. Additionally, this individual maintains a current understanding of direct response marketing and digital marketing best practices and applies them to the execution of Charis’ YouTube strategy.
Essential Duties:
- Define and implement channel strategy, including long-term goals, launch strategies, and KPI benchmarks and goals.
- Manage channel content, including live-stream events, digital media assets, and paid ads
- Upload, maintain, optimize, and promote channel content, including videos and other assets
- Identify and develop strategies for channel growth, increased engagement, and improved ROI.
- Work collaboratively with channel moderators and other stakeholders to make recommendations on communication standards and best practices within the channel community.
- Manage and enforce channel policies and guidelines
- Develop channel marketing strategy and implement tactics, including paid and organic search, social, and display advertising
- Oversee channel business analytics, including reporting, analysis, and optimization
- Develop and implement channel budget, in support of acquisition and conversion goals
- Conduct SEO keyword research and incorporate it into channel descriptions, playlist descriptions, video titles, and video descriptions
- Work with the content team to identify ways to optimize static elements of the channel (ie covers, descriptions) to use for temporary campaigns and longer-term general customer acquisition and conversion goals.
- Make recommendations to the content team to optimize videos for engagement, SEO, and list building.
- Optimize video descriptions to identify key moments and questions addressed, as well as logical next steps, and point towards relevant lead magnets.
- Determine attention-grabbing headlines for titles and thumbnails.
- Organize, plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines through process improvements and communication practices.
- Stay up to date on emerging trends, and actively look for opportunities to experiment and innovate for better results.
- Compile and report metrics on a regular cadence to mark progress against program, team-wide, and organization-wide goals.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of YouTube marketing, including paid and organic channels
- Creative eye for design and video content
- Project management and organizational abilities
- Skilled at strategic copywriting and experienced in applying direct response marketing tactics to YouTube channels.
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising strategic campaigns that engage and convert
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking. Ability to analyze data and identify actionable steps to improve ROI.
- Must be proactive; able to identify problems and initiate corrective actions
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills.
- Maintain good relationships and professional demeanor with direct reports, colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to arrange and run meetings with direction, leaving with clear objectives and tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced work environment with many different tasks at one time.
- Work with excellence and attention to detail with little oversight.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Google Analytics, and project management software.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or relevant field preferred.
- Charis Bible College graduate preferred.
- Must be trustworthy to uphold the ministry vision and execute plans as directed.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to attend events outside of normal working hours. Some travel may be required. 12 times per year.
- May be required to submit a work sample.
- Must pass all required checks
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of Marketing experience related to digital marketing and social media campaigns.
- Demonstrable experience managing and optimizing a YouTube channel.
- Experienced in copywriting from a direct response marketing perspective.
- Demonstrable experience influencing marketing metrics and reporting on overall analytics.
- Google Analytics training a plus.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
