Office Support Assistant 1 – District Attorney
Hourly Pay Rate: $14.24 to $17.74
Closing Date: April 27, 2023, or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions
Job Summary: The major objective is to work with our team of dedicated staff and represent the office in a positive manner when answering questions over the telephone or in person. The Office Support Assistant will also process incoming/outgoing mail and will perform other clerical tasks and duties as requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer the phone during business hours; sort and process incoming/outgoing mail.
- Search Protect, the District Attorney digital case management system for correct ID numbers.
- File documents and/or files in the file room.
- Date stamp documents received at the receptionist window.
- Maintain appropriate amounts of paper throughout the office. Monitor paper supply and distribute it as necessary.
- Prepare documents received from attorneys or supervisor for delivery to VRC/Coakley according to protocol, organize them, and transit them for external storage.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possession of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Current resident of the State of Wisconsin
- At least 6 months of effective communication skills and interpersonal people skills
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of modern office methods, using various office machines, customer service with contact skills over the telephone and in person. Maintain records, files, and store items according to file codes or classifications. Work effectively and harmoniously with others. The ability to work on-site full-time, due to the nature of the position and job duties, the position is not eligible to telework.
