OGC | eDiscovery Assistant | General Counsel/Legal

The eDiscovery Support Assistant role in the Disputes, Consultations and Regulatory Affairs (“DCRA”) Group of Deloitte’s Office of General Counsel (“OGC”) provides eDiscovery project management and technical support to OGC attorneys and Deloitte’s outside counsel.

Work you’ll do

  • Support senior members of the OGC Document Retention Team, which is responsible for providing eDiscovery project management and technical support to Deloitte’s in-house and outside counsel attorneys.
  • Support senior members of the OGC Document Retention Team, which is responsible for providing eDiscovery project management and technical support to Deloitte’s in-house and outside counsel attorneys..
  • Coordinate with Deloitte Information Technology Services (“ITS”) personnel and eDiscovery Coordinate with Deloitte Information Technology Services (“ITS”) personnel and eDiscovery and document review vendors as necessary to execute eDiscovery plans.
  • Responsible for providing other eDiscovery project management and technical support services on an as-needed basis.
  • Assist with the management of litigation document review and management databases.
  • Perform quality checks based on documented processes, and update related documentation as needed.
  • Provide status updates and escalate issues as appropriate.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of eDiscovery best practices and basic computer forensic concepts and techniques..
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with attorneys, IT personnel, eDiscovery vendors, and other process stakeholders to achieve common eDiscovery-related goals.
  • Comfort operating in a demanding environment, which requires strong organization and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • At least three years of eDiscovery project management and technical support experience at an eDiscovery service provider, large law firm, corporate law department, or an equivalent organization.
  • Substantial experience working on large-scale e-discovery projects, in commercial litigation or in regulatory enforcement proceedings.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Candidates with experience and professional certifications regarding the use of kCura’s Relativity and RelOne are highly desirable.
  • Candidates with computer forensic certifications from EnCase are highly desirable.
  • Experience with search tools and technologies
  • Candidates with client-facing eDiscovery project management experience will be preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and OneDrive.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $53,665 to $98,830.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
