Position Overview
Our Onboarding & New Hire Experience team is seeking an Associate to support in developing and leading a best-in-class new hire experience for our Early Career Talent joiners. We are building brand recognition and are excited to welcome an enthusiastic problem-solver with a can-do attitude to join us!
This role will support our Early Career Talent Onboarding and New Hire Experience programs in various capacities, including independently owning several critical programs. They will collaborate with key stakeholders, including, but not limited to the Onboarding team, Campus Recruitment and Operations teams, Cognizant Learning and Development, Business Unit points of contacts, and vendors. This key position will support our strategic business priorities across a growing and highly matrixed organization.
Key responsibilities include:
• Create and enable high touch, personal relationships with new hires to provide a best-in-class onboarding experience.
• Project Work (primary owner):
o Early Career Talent Pre-hire Engagement Sessions (monthly program)
o Early Career Talent Pre-hire Welcome Sessions
• Program Support (primary ownersOnboarding & New Hire Experience Early Career Talent Onboarding Senior Managerand Team Lead)
o Traditional Campus-level Onboarding Program
o Train-to-hire-level Onboarding Program
o Early Career Talent New Hire Cohort Connect virtual sessions (30-90-180-day milestones)
o Early Career Talent MS Teams community engagement
o Early Career Talent data management via various shared spreadsheets
o 30-90 Day Follow-up Connect Sessions (all levels)
• Event Management (primary owner):
o Coordination of guest speakers and facilitators for all virtual events offered (outreach, confirmation details, prep calls, scheduling).
o Virtual event chat management and engagement.
• Subject Matter Expertise:
o Develop strong relationships and partner effectively with the various stakeholders to ensue overall smooth and positive onboarding experience for new hires, as well as promote Onboarding brand internally.
o Become well-versed in various systems and processes to support new hires, address questions, and escalate issues.
o Respond to new hire questions and issues in a timely manner in shared mailboxes.
o Build a deep knowledgebase of our nuanced new hire populations, program offerings customizations, and survey data.
- Contribute to continuous improvement discussions for onboarding programs. Make data-driven recommendations and suggestions for areas to update or enhance.
Successful Candidates Should Possess the Following Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in project management, recruiting and/or onboarding roles OR 3-5 years recruiting or HR experience in the consulting/professional services industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.)
• Demonstrates attention to detail in project deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience in virtual and in person event planning required; experience with virtual facilitation platforms preferred.
• Comfortable learning and leveraging virtual engagement techniques including virtual presentation platforms.
• Strong facilitation skills including utilizing virtual engagement techniques and platforms.
• Demonstrates emotional, behavioral, and professional maturity in all interactions.
• Proven ability to contribute to a positive team environment.
• Can build lasting and impactful relationships in person and virtually.
• Strong project management skills, including understanding scope of project, ability to execute project plan, can clearly communicate milestones and goals, can recognize areas for improvements and make suggestions.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required for onsite orientation and other engagement events, to fulfill the responsibilities of this position (10%-20%.)
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule as workload requires.
• Cognizant will not sponsor H-1B or other U.S. work authorization, or lawful permanent residence (otherwise known as a “Green Card”) for these roles.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $45,000 – $75,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
