Position Overview

The DoIT team at DHS is seeking to hire a candidate with strong technical and people skills to serve as the OneNet Support Unit Manager. The OneNet Support Unit assists management in long-range information technology training and support plans for the Department, including the use of the OneNet web content and Learning Management Systems, Microsoft SharePoint, and/or similar tools. The successful candidate will need to be highly analytical, professional, communicate effectively, and possess excellent organizational skills. Job Responsibilities
- Under general direction, serves as the OneNet Support Unit Manager for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Department of Human Services (DHS).
- Serves as a working supervisor.
- Develops and sustains working relationships with government and private agencies.
- Disseminates information to DHS staff concerning the availability of training programs and the benefits of such programs.
- Collaborates with other DoIT/DHS staff to develop high quality training services for DHS employees.
- Plans, directs, and conducts extensive and complex administrative studies of DHS information technology training and support services statewide.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with course work in computer science, management information systems, or business management.
- Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible computer experience in a computer-based management information system in a public or business organization.
Specialized Skills:
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience supporting end-users in the use of computer software, including the use of OneNet Web Content and Learning Management Systems, Microsoft SharePoint, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of professional experience supporting end-users in the use of computer software, including the use of OneNet Web Content and Learning Management Systems, Microsoft SharePoint, or similar tools.
- Three (3) years of supervisory or lead worker experience of professional information technology staff for a public or private organization.
- Three (3) years of professional experience in the delivery & support of computer software training to end-users.
- Three (3) years of professional experience with developing, installing, and evaluating new and revised information technology methods and procedures.
- Three (3) years of professional experience researching and reviewing (or evaluating) information technology Learning Management Systems or web content management frameworks.
- One (1) year of professional experience interacting with and communicating in verbal and written form with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze administrative problems and adopt an effective course of action.
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
