This posting will be used for 30 days to conduct ongoing recruitment and will remain open until the position and/or positions have been filled. Shift is 8 am to 5 pm. Monday thru Friday.
Why does the job exist?
Incumbent will be responsible to provide services as it relates to all electrical work within the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute (NMBHI).
How does it get done?
Incumbent duties may include but are not limited to checking electrical panels for loose connections on terminals, maintenance on electrical equipment located in all buildings throughout the campus and check electrical disconnects and fuses for proper amperage.

Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience with electrical;
Experience with ground keeping;
Experience with operating and maintaining of heavy equipment such as forklift.
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or Equivalent and six (6) months of experience installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems to include wiring, equipment and/or fixtures in accordance with applicable National Electric Codes. Must be licensed in accordance with Construction Industries Licensing, 60-13-1 through 60-13-59; 14.6.3.1 through 14.6.3.9 NMAC; 14.6.4.1 through 14.6.4.8; and 14.6.6.1 through 14.6.6.14, as applicable.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s license.
Working Conditions
This position will perform work at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute, both indoors and outdoors. Some standing walking, stooping, bending and lifting a minimum of one hundred (1 OD) pounds with assistance may be required. Effective 01/01/2015, New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/ E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus. Department is Plant Technology. Shift is 8:00 am to 5 pm.
