Imagine showing up to work as the Operations Officer role will support the US P&C Reinsurance CEO and the extended leadership team as an analyst on strategic and operational engagements across a global organization.
About the Role
This role offers the candidate an overview of the key strategic and operational topics most relevant to the US market unit, with great exposure and direct interaction with senior leaders. The candidate will also develop and expand on strategic problem solving, performance monitoring, operational excellence, and effective communication skills through coaching and project ownership.
- Support the US P&C Reinsurance CEO and extended leadership team with projects and activities that deliver on the market unit’s strategic objectives (e.g., Performance Culture, Improving Client Engagement, Right Service Right Client)
- Support delivery of presentations and briefing material for internal management meetings (e.g., Board, Business Performance Reviews, townhalls & offsites) and external events (e.g., Rating Agency, regulatory updates, conferences)
- Extended Leadership Team
- Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis on critical topics (e.g., market share analysis, NPS/NMG, renewal updates, DN analysis, operational excellence)
- Support Senior Operations Officer to enable strategic execution of Must Wins by gathering and analyzing internal and external data, developing recommendations, and supporting strategy execution on various initiatives
- Act as an Ambassador of the US P&C Market Unit, playing an integral role in connecting the various business functions (Client Underwriting, Product, Business Management, Finance, Risk Management) in support of the Market Unit and Business Excellence team’s priorities.

Essential
- Bachelor Degree, excellent academic record
- 3-4 years of financial markets or re/insurance experience; management consulting experience a plus
- Strategic thinker with analytical skills
- Approaches problems with curiosity and open-mindedness, a fast learner
- Innovative, showing a high degree of own initiative Consistently deliver high quality work; reliable and accountable

For New York City and Westchester County the estimated base salary range for this position is $96,000 to $144,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
