Operations and Support Manager – Sector IT Manager

Overview

As the Operations and Support Manager in the Digital Equipment Innovation team supporting the PBNA Foodservice business you will have a unique opportunity to influence PepsiCo’s digital equipment solutions.

Responsibilities

This role will Manage the Operations and Support processes and activities for the team while also stimulating, surfacing and shaping the demand for IT products and services and ensuring potential business value is captured, optimized and recognized.

  • Lead all Operations and Support activities for the solutions developed by the team
  • Coordinate support activities among integrated teams (e.g. suppliers, vendors, internal IT teams, R&D, Equipment Service)
  • Manage Level 1-3 support, as applicable, including, triage, root cause analysis, remediation and post-mortem analysis
  • Update/Enhance support model as new equipment solutions are implemented
  • Vendor Management of on/off-shore Managed Services team – including SLA’s and metrics
  • Ensure team support tools and activities adhere to IT Corporate standards
  • Responsible for overall project planning, issue & risk analysis, resource planning and management, vendor management and status reporting
  • Develop deep knowledge of the business and build both horizontal and vertical relationships with business and IT leaders that deliver business impact
  • Act as technology advisor to the business
  • Contribute to the development of technology enablement business capability roadmaps
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to evaluate proposals, build business cases, and plan new joint initiatives, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities
  • Ensure that essential business requirements are understood and captured
  • Keep abreast of both internal technologies and solutions (e.g., new technical solutions being developed by our own innovation teams) and external technologies and solutions relevant to equipment innovation
  • Ensure continuous improvement in value optimization, IT performance, and business processes where applicable
  • Proactively identify business capability and IT service gaps and contribute to improvement efforts
  • Partner with IT Product Leads to create and execute transition plans for Innovation initiatives as they commercialize

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $98,700 – $150,000
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out Annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications

Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology
  • Demonstrated track record of creating technology solutions to solve business problems
  • Highly skilled at project planning, creating business requirements documents, use cases, user acceptance test plans, process flow and data flow diagrams
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization
  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner
  • Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage governance for a positive business partner experience
  • Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting
  • An exceptional listener, able to comprehend what is said and probe for important details
  • Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Accepts ownership and welcomes responsibility
  • Acumen and passion for business and technology
  • Understands and keeps abreast of IT industry – emerging technologies and trends, industry standards and vendor landscape

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Experience managing Software development projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation through implementation
  • Experience supporting SW applications after implementation, including – break/fix activities, enhancements, SLA’s and metrics, vendor management, off-shoring/outsourcing
  • Familiarity with Tableau and Power BI
