Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person to manage the operational and process-driven aspects of our Men’s design team. Design Operations is accountable for project management of all design and calendar initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Manager of Design Operations to ensure that the team is efficiently managing its design tools and merch guides, as well as collaborating effectively with merchandising and other cross-functional partners. This person is an experienced project manager that will lead the facilitation, planning and implementation of projects and strategic initiatives for the Design team, and ensure the execution and alignment of the Design process across all departments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage Men’s Design calendar including scheduling seasonal milestones, creating agendas and prepping meeting setup
- Support Manager of Design Operations to facilitate and align on new department processes
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to obtain department needs
- Leads change management process for each project on the design team, anticipating needs for the business
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of design tools and merch guides
- Manage the concept and collab process and milestone touchpoints with Merchandising
- Set print meetings for design, sit in print selection meetings, track print receipts, organize print filing system, and prepare prints for pass off to freelancer
- Participate in colorway approval meetings and prepare mill sheets for pass off, partnering with colorist for seasonal palette needs
- Support wear test process for Fit in motion, Influencer, etc., organize wear test events and schedule for athletes, order and track samples, work with designer to track and organize feedback, and partner with merch to align wear test processes
- Facilitate key projects to ensure timeline, create decks as needed, and manage WIP
- Responsible for creating onboarding process for team in collaboration with P&C
- Work with designers on other various projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design or related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience in design operations or project management
- Strong project management skills and experience in working cross-functionally
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with design tools, merch guides, and design processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience managing contractors and/or freelance teams
- Experience with PLM systems is a plus

Pay: from $70,000 – $80,000
