SPECIAL NOTES:

High School Diploma or General Education Development High School Equivalency (GED) is required.

Additional requirements:

  • Three (3) years’ experience in an IT Support Environment.
  • Experience in a desktop support or help desk environment.

Preference given to applicants with:

  • Experience with user access control and system administration.
  • Certifications specific to IT support or system administration.

The annual salary for this position will range from $45,308.76 – $54,000.00 depending upon experience and qualifications.

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • This is a highly technical position which includes the planning, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of the Division of Risk Management’s (DRM’s) technical assets. Advises senior management on technology related policies and issues.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and directing of activities related to the Electronic Document Management system (EDMS) to promote the most efficient and effective accomplishment of DRM’s goals.
  • Monitors DRM’s methods of data entry and storage and makes recommendations for modifications to DRM’s Insurance Management System (IMS) and its procedures for data entry and storage to insure data quality and reliability.
  • Monitors existing IMS performance to ensure software is meeting current business requirements. Ensures adherence to current Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Works with third parties in the development and troubleshooting of data feeds into IMS.
  • Recommends the replacement or modification of existing software and hardware as required to maintain the highest level of service to the users.
  • Coordinates and provides support services for DRM staff in technical areas described above and other technical areas that affect DRM.
  • Performs queries and other analysis of data from IMS and EDMS to measure organizational performance.
  • Performs other necessary tasks as directed by management.
