OPERATIONS SPECIALIST II INTERNATIONAL

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Operations Specialist II in International is responsible for handling payments, accounting basics, and client communication for foreign exchange transactions. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, reconciliation, and payment investigations. Performs special projects as requested. Fulfills permanently assigned duties and responsibilities using critical software (OPICS) for SWIFT.

Banking and Investment Services Division
Banking and Investment Services plays an integral role in leading the strategic vision and execution of all banking operations. Our servicing and operations professionals partner closely with all of our lines of business to carry out critical functions, including client/deposit servicing, contact center operations, payments processing, and trade and lending operations, while identifying and mitigating risk throughout the organization. Servicing and operations professionals seek to transform and define an integrated support model through automation and cutting-edge digital technologies, to deliver an excellent experience for our clients and businesses.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Tasks include processing payments, basic accounting and client contact for foreign exchange payment instructions, currency transaction requirements etc.
  • Ensures all outgoing wires and intrabank transactions are processed on a daily basis in accordance with Bank policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all incoming SWIFT messages are reviewed and routed appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Interacts with various CNB Departments, primarily FX Sales Advisors, business units, Funds Transfer and International Accounting.
  • Confers with supervisor when problems are encountered which could impact the department in a negative manner. Escalates issues and concerns to management to ensure speedy resolutions.
  • Uses independent judgment and technical knowledge to ensure the timeliness, accuracy and control of work produced.
  • Complies fully with all Bank Operational and International policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Minimum 1 year payments or operations experience in a financial institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum 1 year working knowledge of accounting or BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance

Skills and Knowledge

  • College Degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of SWIFT policies and procedures
  • General knowledge of OPICS system a plus
  • Ability to interact effectively with various levels of Bank personnel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Customer service skills for both internal and external customers
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills quickly

Compensation

Starting base salary: $22.27 – $33.43 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
