The Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CDSAi) is the 60-person innovative corporate Analytics group within New York Life, led by Chief Analytics Officer Glenn Hofmann (https://www.linkedin.com/in/glennhofmann/). In the 6 years of the existence of CDSAi we have built a lot of predictive modeling solutions that are being used by various areas in the company. We have also stood up a modern model deployment platform that allows our models to be accessed in real time or batch (via APIs) from any production system in the company.

We have now reached a level of maturity that calls for the expansion of several new roles including the Operations Tech Delivery Lead. This role will help to design, configure and manage systems, oversee and document business processes, create and manage templates, track metrics and produce reporting. In addition, the Delivery Lead will be the main interface with Technology teams to ensure that all tech intersections for our model development lifecycle are planned and managed. You will interact with Engineers, Program Managers, Product Managers and Business Partners to ensure that we move projects from Proof of Value to Product Management as efficiently as possible. Responsibilities

  • Oversee design and configuration of Jira instance including integration with Apptio and report development through Tableau
  • Coordinate projects across multiple teams, document activities, deliver summary reports
  • Work with Program Managers, ML Engineers and Technology teams in planning and delivery for data science development and deployment projects; Manage interdependencies between teams
  • Manage risk and resolve issues that would affect project scope, schedule and quality
  • Attend and/or lead regular scrum meetings, develop strong relationships with cross functional business and tech teams
  • Interact with team leads throughout CDSAI to ensure projects are prioritized
  • Deliver a strong focus on coordination, dependency & risk management and removing blockers
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, establish new workflows, templates and processes as required
  • Build and deliver monthly and quarterly departmental reporting
  • Manage business continuity and records retention for department

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of previous release, Data Science/IT project and process management experience
  • 2+ years system administration, configuration, workflow design experience
  • 2+ years Agile Scrum, experience working in a scaled agile framework preferred
  • Hand on Jira, Apptio, Tableau experience
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a knack for proactively identifying and resolving technical dependencies and issues
  • Positive attitude and approach to working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous, fast paced environment where priorities shift rapidly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • BS/MS degree in Engineering or Business
  • PMP certificate, certified scrum master
  • Financial reporting experience a plus

Salary range: $132,500-$197,500
