Student Health Care Center at The University of Florida within the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) has an exciting opportunity! We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of OPS Cashier whose primary responsibility will be to work within the Student Health Care Center’s Pharmacy. This position is responsible for handling all cashier responsibilities within the Pharmacy. The range of duties includes filing, scanning, data entry into Excel spreadsheets, reconciliation of reports, and assisting with special projects. Experience in cash and credit card handling is required, as the role involves working in a high-volume area within the Student Health Care Center Pharmacy. The successful candidate must possess excellent punctuality, meticulous attention to detail, and accuracy.

The Fiscal Office of Student Health Care Center (SHCC) at The University of Florida within the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) is seeking an OPS Cashier to handle all cashier functions within the Pharmacy. Good customer service skills, familiarity with point-of-sale systems, and adherence to company policies and procedures are essential. This role includes essential tasks such as scanning, data entry into Excel spreadsheets, report reconciliation, and assisting with special projects when required.

This is an office-based role, involving tasks and other fiscal office duties as assigned:
• Use of point-of-sale systems
• Cash and credit card handling
• Scanning
• Data entry into Excel spreadsheets
• Assisting with special financial projects
• Report reconciliations
• Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Expected Salary:

The salary range is between $13.00 to $15.00 per hour and is commensurate with skills and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience working in a Pharmacy setting
• Process cash and credit card handling
• Experience working in a high-volume cashier position
• Ability to understand and operate the point of sale system
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm
• Must be punctual
• One year of appropriate experience and have basic math skills
• Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel
• Possess good customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with SHCC patients
• Ability to be compliant with all State and University of Florida policies and procedures
• Ability to work in an office setting, scanning, data entry into Excel spreadsheets, reconciliation of reports.
• Ability to communicate efficiently in writing and verbally
• Possess and exercise good attention to detail and accuracy
