WHAT IS OPS EMPLOYMENT?
Other Personal Services (OPS) employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used solely for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks.
OPS are at-will employees and are subject to actions such as pay changes, changes to work assignment and terminations at the recommendation of the employer.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is located at the South Region Detention Services Office. The incumbent will assist as the Fiscal Liaison between Headquarters Finance & Accounting (F&A), Regional Office, and facilities relating to matters within the Fiscal program and maintain medical information confidential.
Reviews, audits and processes all accounts payable, documents, to include but not limited to purchase order receiving reports, non-purchase order receipts in accordance with departmental and Regional Office procedures and Florida statutes.
Maintains vendor files establishing ledgers for all accounts, reviewing account information and keeping current information and balances on each file.
Prepares and submits purchase requisitions in accordance with departmental and regional procedures; maintains purchase requisitions/purchase order files, catalogs and state contracts.
Handles vendor inquiries and complaints.
Performs administrative functions for regional office administrative as directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of fiscal rules, administrative principles and practices and office procedures.
Knowledge of effective verbal, written communication and standard business formats, basic math and computer skills
Ability to apply rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to be detailed oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year of administrative experience.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.
Administrative or clerical experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
Preference will be given to candidates who:
Have a good verbal communication and writing skills.
Are proficient in MyFloridaMarketPlace.
