Job Description:

Conduct In Vitro Studies

  • Design and perform evaluations of biological responses in bovine and canine macrophages.
  • Investigate macrophage activation and response to various stimulants.
  • Utilize different immunological assays and techniques to assess responses.

Work with Nanoparticles

  • Prepare and handle PLGA nanoparticles containing immunogenic substances like MPL-A.
  • Analyze nanoparticles for stability, release kinetics, and efficacy.
  • Collaborate with chemists and other specialists for optimized nanoparticle formulations.

Protein Expression and Purification

  • Manage recombinant protein expression systems.
  • Implement various purification techniques to isolate target proteins.
  • Conduct functional assays to evaluate protein activity.

Collaborative Research

  • Act as a collaborative partner within multidisciplinary research teams.
  • Contribute to experimental design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist in manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed journals.

Laboratory Maintenance

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Order supplies, manage inventory, and liaise with vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.

Expected Salary:

$21.84 -$24.66

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience

  • Proven experience in cell culture of primary cells, molecular biology techniques, protein expression, and purification, supported by peer-reviewed publications.
  • Familiarity with working with macrophages, particularly in bovine and canine systems.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

  • Hands-on experience with immunological assays such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets using statistical software.
  • Understanding of nanoparticle formulation and characterization techniques.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to collaborative research projects.
