OPS Social Media Assistant Position
Job Description:
- Researches, generates, edits, publishes, and shares regular social media content (text, images, video) that showcases the Graduate School & the Graduate Student Success Center initiatives. Provides the graduate education community with meaningful information.
- Maintains the Graduate School & Graduate Student Success Center’s and offices within Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter accounts.
- Links these offices social media initiatives into broader UF social media networks.
- Assists with the updating/creation of the new website for the Graduate School & the Graduate Student Success Center and the offices within.
- Maintains consistent and professional branding, visual, and editorial tone and feel across social media platforms.
- Assist with list serve messages to graduate students
- Assists with updating content to Graduate School and the Graduate Student Success Center websites
Expected Salary:
$15 an hour
Minimum Requirements:
- Pursuing graduate degree at UF.
- Work experience in social media marketing.
- Hands-on familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter platforms.
- Experience in web design.
- Strong research, writing, editing, design, and communication skills.
- Prior experience and expertise with using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and the like).
- Strong work ethic, time management skills, ability to work independently, and sense of craft and quality control.
- Résumé and portfolio of prior work in social media.

This not a remote work position, and it is located on the University of Florida’s main campus in Gainesville, FL.
