Position Title: Oracle HCM Software Engineer
Salary Range: $51,712 – 68,927

Position Summary:
The New York County District Attorney’s Office (DANY) has an opening for an Oracle HCM Software Engineer in its Information Technology Department. The individual in this position will be responsible for the technical aspects of our Oracle HCM application. Working alongside the Oracle HCM Business Analyst, the Oracle HCM Software Engineer role is focused on system administration, feature configuration and some development. The Oracle HCM application’s functions include but are not limited to: Core Human Resources operations, Benefits, Payroll, Recruitment, Talent Acquisition Management [TAM], and Enterprise Learning Management [ELM].

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform configuration, optimization, and maintenance of the Oracle HCM system
  • Enhance and implement business processes using Oracle HCM tools
  • Generate reports as per user requirements
  • Perform imports and exports of Oracle HCM data using BI Publisher
  • Coordinate post-production upgrades, software patches, and enhancements for the Oracle HCM suite
  • Manage and respond to end user IT service and support requests, review requests and make any necessary corrections and work ticket to resolution
  • Analyze prioritized issues using a variety of troubleshooting and analysis to investigate production issues, propose options for resolution, document findings and ultimately document and solution the issues in production
  • Serve as technical support bridge with external vendor (Oracle)
  • Maintain support documentation as needed
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in computer science, information technology, or a related field); and
  • Minimum one (1) to three (3) years’ experience with HCM technology.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Technical background in computer software and troubleshooting required
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required
  • Ability to assist users with application related questions and issues
  • Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products for documentation purposes
  • Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritize among competing needs, and respond quickly to requests for information.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff and vendors.

Commitment:

  • Two (2) year commitment to hiring department.
