Order Processing Associate 1 – 2nd Shift

Position Purpose: Process customer orders in an efficient and timely manner with the highest regard for quality.

Each Aveda employee will actively participate in the Behavior Based Safety (BBS) program and is required to follow all safety practices and procedures.

Description of Duties:

* Learn and follow Aveda/Estee Lauder Environmental, Health and Safety policies as well as all OSHA rules and regulations.

* Follow good safety practices and use good safety work methods like the “seven steps to proper lifting.” For heavier cartons/objects has helper assist using “buddy lifting method.”

* Operate plastic bailer and cardboard compactor. Use proper procedures and observe all safety rules when operating and emptying bailer and compactor.

* Sets up work area with supplies and keep work area clean. Clean, sweep, organize as needed or directed.

* Pick individual products via handsfree Pick-to-Voice technology from loose pick racks and places in cartons which are on roller-conveyor.

* Pick cartons, places labels on them and places them on roller conveyor in the case pick area.

* Use Pick-to-Voice equipment, RF scanner, RF gun, RF printer and hard-wired printer to perform duties. Follow equipment control procedures and handles equipment properly to minimize damage.

* Sort, scan and place cartons on appropriate pallet in the sort-to-stage area.

* Build pallets properly using bricklayer method, having heavy boxes on bottom, light packages on top.

* Follow proper procedures for palletizing: knowing when to use Euro vs regular pallets, building to proper height, proper segregating using slip-sheets or pallets, etc.

* Lift or move cartons up to 50 lbs using proper lifting methods.

* Break down empty cartons and assemble new cartons as needed.

* Use pallet jack to move pallets.

* Use ladder when necessary to perform duties.

  • Perform other tasks and duties as directed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 1 – 2 years experience in a similar work environment preferred.

Others: SAP, WMS experience preferred. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary. Ability to stand for eight hours daily. Ability to read, understand and speak English preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $15 to $23.50/hr. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
