Outbound Sales Agent

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiate guest contact to solicit sale of AQ Voyages cruises and related shore side products and services, using predominantly outbound phone contact, in addition to email and inbound phone contact.
  • Prospect new guests (business or individuals) on a daily basis from various lead sources.

  • Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and optimize long-term guest value.
  • Demonstrate service excellence in every interaction to provide guests a luxury service experience.
  • Contribute to achievement of company goals including guest satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term sales goals in line with company vision and values.
  • Employ technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas to give effective presentation of our products and services.

  • Manage a high-volume sales-focused workload, meet productivity goals, and optimize the selling process through pro-active guest contact.
  • Sell consultatively, using active listening skills and making effective recommendations to prospects and clients.
  • Demonstrate in-depth company and industry knowledge to articulate product features, benefits, and pricing; and to make recommendations on promotions, itineraries, and supplementary products such as upgrades, extensions, and other shipboard amenities.
  • Meet assigned monthly, quarterly, and/or annual targets.
  • Deliver prepared sales scripts to persuade potential guests to book our products.
  • Respond to questions thoroughly and proactively.

  • Identify and overcome objections, leading guests through the sales process effectively.
  • Maintain guest/potential guest databases-including collection of guest information and cultivation additional potential guest leads.
  • Maintains prospect lists/contact database in order to identify client travel trends.

  • Maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale; service existing cruise bookings booked direct, and exercise upsell opportunities throughout the life of the guest relationship.
  • Support various departmental sales efforts including movement of last-minute inventory and other needs/opportunities that may arise.

  • Follow up on all contacts at the guest’s convenience, which may at times include after-hours and/or weekends.
  • Ensure behavior and performance supports the company’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Operating Principles.
  • Follow company values in responding to others in work situations.
  • Use recovery steps to respond to others who are dissatisfied.
  • Make hospitality standards an important part of day-to-day duties.
  • Be a RESPECT Service System example for others.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Skills & Abilities:

  • Hotel and/or Cruise Outbound Sales experience desired
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technical selling skills to effectively overcome objections and successfully lead guests through sales process
  • Ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels
  • Work requires willingness to work Saturdays

Experience:

  • At least two years in a similar role

Other:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident/incident testing
  • Compensation for this position is roughly $20/hour
