Job Purpose
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for leading Warehouse Selectors from beginning to end of shift. They are responsible for maintaining compliance to all safety rules, policies and procedures. Coordinating that all reports and selection documents are ready, and that product is selected accurately, while maintaining the highest quality and sanitation standards. Exercising sound judgment in decision making during the course of business.
Key Responsibilities
The Warehouse Lead will be assigned duties, based on organizational needs and priorities.
- Lead employees, including processing disciplines
- Monitor for accuracy and quality control in the receiving or shipping processes
- Lead and assist in all receiving or shipping functions from conception to completion
- Oversee warehouse dock to insure accurate, safe and proper loading and unloading of trucks
- Ensure quality and On-Time Delivery unloading, shipping and delivery
- Ensure compliance of sanitation guidelines
- Perform audits to ensure quality of employee work
- Ensure all employees comply with company and safety policies
- Ensure compliance to all state and federal laws and regulations
- Assist with training of new hires and other training as needed
- Monitor and maintain a safe environment
- Take proactive measures to prevent warehouse losses
- Work with upper management to identify and prioritize projects
- Oversee proper use of all equipment
Qualifications and Experience

- Uses working knowledge of all receiving, order selection and shipping operations
- Proficient in computer skills preferred (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Prior pallet jack, forklift certification experience preferred
- Knowledge of barcode scanners preferred
- Professional conduct and strong leadership in maintaining positive work environment
- Competent math skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Work proficiently and effectively under stress
- Identify waste and offer long-term solutions
- Utilize effective interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse work group
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Adhere to attendance guidelines
