At the present time, a vacancy exists within the Administrative Services department of the Chester County Intermediate Unit for a Custodian at the Chester County Intermediate Unit’s Technical College High School Pickering campus located in Phoenixville, PA. Please note that the succssful candidate for this position would work the afternoon/evening shift from approximately 2 PM – 10 PM during the work week.

The CCIU is currently offering a sign on bonus of up to $1,500 for candidates who apply and are subsequintly hired for a position between March 16, 2023, and October 31, 2023. More information will be shared with eligible individuals at the time of hire.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of institutional cleaning methods and processes
- Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required
- School custodial experience strongly preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain building facilities
- Utilizing and operating appropriate equipment, perform routine facilities maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable items
- Set up and breakdown tables and chairs for special events
- Assist with the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies
- Operate buffer, floor-care machines, vacuums, drills, and other small power tools
