REPORTS TO: Store Manager

Overview
The Outlet Sales Specialist is expected to role model Goodwill values and Goodwill CARE behaviors in all actions and interactions in order to create a positive customer-centric experience. This individual will also assist Store Leadership with Training and Mentoring of Outlet Store Associates and Production Workers to achieve all set expectations. The Outlet Sales Specialist is also responsible for providing our customers with exceptional service by meeting their individual needs and expectations, serving as a “Goodwill Ambassador” by promoting our mission and values of the organization.
The Outlet Sales Specialist will receive a mix of hands-on experience, education and encouragement through rotational experiences to develop leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
He/She will be exposed to several key functions to prepare for advanced leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed customer expectations, driving positive sales growth and Brand experience by modeling the CARE service model.
- Engage all customers and donors, providing best in class customer experience. Create an emotional connection with every customer by being a passionate Goodwill Brand ambassador.
- Demonstrate professional Store knowledge and the ability to answer customer inquiries regarding the value by the Pound Outlet Business Model.
- Confidently give advice to customers based on fashion trends and individual style.
- Review business driving opportunities with management and coordinate implementation within that category.
- Collaborate with Outlet Leadership to create project plans and set appropriate benchmarks to ensure all outlet store metrics and goals are met.
- Assist with Store Leadership to oversee support staff to ensure that all sales goals are regularly met or exceeded.
- Partner with Store leadership to ensure all aspects of replenishment are properly executed to include recovery of the floor, merchandise rotation, and merchandise adjustments.
- Collaborate with Leadership Team to Ensure that all Outlet Merchandise Rotations are executed in a timely manner and run smoothly. Promote a positive and safe environment for all customers. (This includes crowd control and safety enforcement)
- Work collaboratively within and across all departments and partner with all Outlet leadership/Specialists to support store goals and metrics.
- Perform High Expectation deliverables in an efficient manner, as directed by the Leadership team. (This includes efficient and effective handling of all merchandise from raw donation to identify hidden gems to be diverted to either Outlet Showcase Program or Ecommerce.)
- Build enthusiasm and awareness of a positive atmosphere among Outlet Staff.
- Maintain acceptable presentation standards on the selling floor through proper utilization of visual displays and merchandise content. (Including Showcase Program)
- Maintain Brand standards of neat, clean and organized Outlet sales floor, cash wrap, and stockroom to ensure the store is safe for employees and always reflects the correct visual image to customers.
- Perform sales transactions quickly and accurately in accordance with established cash control procedures and customer service guidelines.
- Be knowledgeable of POS policies and procedures and be able to train Store Associates on the POS functions
- Support store operations by maintaining loss prevention awareness
- Drive Goodwill brand loyalty through knowledge of Goodwill Rewards program, consistently informing customers of the benefits of participation.
- Capture customer data utilizing Company tools (POS), for the purpose of connecting with the customer, building relationships and personalizing future customer development opportunities.
- Perform Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned by Store Manager.
Key Requirements
- 1+ years of retail sales or customer service experience.
- Proven ability to drive and exceed individual and store results.
- Proven ability to build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt to and engage with different customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, sales leadership team and colleagues.
- Be able to Correspond in email communication to receive daily directives and to obtain support
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
- Accuracy and attention to detail required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Additional Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to push/pull up to 50lbs and lift 25lbs
