About This Position

This is a temporary, part-time position with a 6-8 week term.

The Overnight Guest Service Agent is responsible for covering the Front Desk overnight as well as running and auditing daily reports for all departments. Specific duties include (but are not limited to)

  • Audit the daily work from each department and input data into the daily reports
  • Copy all reports to shared drive, and provide the daily reports via email to all managers
  • Process guest registration, reservation and departure courteously and accurately.
  • Ensure follow-through and communication from shift to shift regarding any pertinent information or guest requests
  • Perform checks on each department throughout resort
  • Completes report after resort walk-through
  • Complete morning set-up of coffee station
  • Retrieves all room-service pre-orders for breakfast and delivers to Restaurant opener
  • Handle any guest compliments or complaints and take action deemed necessary and communicates to supervisor
  • Retrieve and respond to Billing Inquiry email and phone messages each night
  • Maintains a clean lobby and front desk stations area as defined by Alderbrook Resort and Spa Policies
  • Handles, stores, labels guest luggage and equipment
  • Regularly reviews safety/emergency procedures and is capable of enacting them when necessary

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Required | Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Required | 2+ years of guest/customer service experience
  • Preferred | 1+ years prior hotel experience
  • Preferred | Familiarity with Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of Work : Excellent attention to detail, work standards, must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers etc.; must possess at least intermediate typing skills.
  • Interpersonal : Remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits a willingness to try new things
  • Work Habits : Ability to work independently, autonomously and without supervision, while also able to follow written and verbal instructions when necessary. Able to work long hours and overtime if necessary. Team oriented. Motivated self-starter – look for work in the quiet times.

Physical Demands of the Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   • Work Environment : Conditions are those of a typical of a hotel environment. It is a controlled environment, and the position experiences little variation in temperature and a minimal level of noise in the work environment. The Night Audit is an overnight position with minimal staff present at the Resort.
  • Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods; walk; sit; climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, bend and twist, push and pull, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. May require sustained visual and mental concentration.
