As a Senior Packaging Tech at Turner Road Vinters, you will be a shift lead and responsible for directing work. Supports team leader by driving participation all phases of bottling production as assigned, as well as the care, maintenance, and sanitation of all equipment and facilities. Adheres to all safety procedures, support quality and GMP standards. Clean & sanitize equipment, apply good housekeeping practices, perform wine movements, top barrels, add chemicals to wine, operate less complex equipment, measure and calculate workplace data.
Compensation:
$28.51 – $38.51
Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, expierence, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alligment with market data.
What You”ll Do:
- Supervises and trains packaging technicians, assigns tasks, maintains crew productivity, and ensures compliance with company policies
- Conducts training and safety programs and monitors employees’ performance.
- Manages material inventory and participates in product inventory.
- Performs equipment changeovers, cellar sanitation activities, and leads tasks on the Innovation Packaging Line.
- Directs housekeeping tasks and updates departmental SOPs.
- Communicates accurate reporting to cross-functional partners.
What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of wine production or manufacturing experience.
- Must be able to repetitively lift and uncase glass cases onto a conveyer belt.
- Required to work any assigned shift; required to work weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Required to wear a respirator when necessary.
- Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within the bottling room or cellar operations, including lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Experience in using a computer.
- Experience being a team player.
- Experience understanding and following written and verbal instructions.
- Skilled in basic mathematical operations.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What Will Set You Apart:
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate and 5 years of production or manufacturing experience.
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
