Theo is a fast-growing performance media agency located in Portland, Oregon. We help local and national brands across various industries advance their marketing practices through strategic marketing activations.
Our Insights team is responsible for providing our clients and internal teams with the information they need to make smart, fast, data-driven decisions. We love creating data visualizations that increase the understanding of complex concepts and we excel at creating data pipelines that continuously feed our business intelligence reports and dashboards, so everyone is equipped with the data necessary for their work.
We are seeking a talented Paid Media Analyst who can derive insights across various paid marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Interpretation: Be the data storytelling expert. Interpret and communicate performance trends, working collaboratively with internal marketing teams to identify the underlying factors driving these trends. Together, we’ll make informed decisions that lead to superior results.
- Channel Analysis: Experience with working within and pulling data from popular advertising platforms such as Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, etc. Understand the mechanics of channel activation that can lead to deeper analysis across various creative, audience targeting, bid strategies, and landing page tactics.
- Collaborate Strategically: Work closely with our media and strategy teams to develop compelling client presentations that highlight performance trends and uncover actionable insights and growth opportunities.
- Data Democratization: Share the knowledge. Gather, organize, clean, and integrate data from diverse sources into a coherent and intuitive data model that can be used by all. Your expertise in Power BI will be instrumental in creating robust data sets that empower informed decision-making company-wide.
- Pipeline Guardian: Monitor the data pipeline vigilantly, ensuring its smooth operation. Swiftly resolve any errors or issues that may arise, ensuring that the flow of data is uninterrupted and reliable.
- Visual Insights: Craft elegant and informative recurring reports and dashboards, both for internal use and for our clients. Your Power BI skills will help visualize data in a way that resonates with our audience, enabling us to make data-driven decisions with confidence.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Statistics, Business Analytics, Marketing, or related disciplines).
- Proficiency in Power BI or a similar reporting platform, with a proven track record of creating insightful visualizations and dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data transformation techniques.
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- A passion for staying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
