The Amazon Business Marketing team is seeking an experienced Paid Search Marketing Manager to join our global Paid Search team. As a Paid Search Marketing Manager for Amazon Business, you will create world class marketing strategies to support our mission to grow Amazon Business globally. You will define, plan, execute, and measure Paid Search (SEM) campaigns that drive customer growth. You will partner with our international marketing teams to support launches of promotions and services. The impact of this role is significant and broad, accounting for a large percentage of our KPIs.

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, a great communicator, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will have a proven track record taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

The Paid Search Manager should be comfortable in both an ambiguous, self-sufficient role, as well as one of team support and interaction. Ownership of work is extremely important, and candidates should have a proven record of overseeing projects to their completion. The ideal candidate is motivated with strong time management and project management skills, and is technical and analytical. This opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. At the core of the position is thinking big about new opportunities, high attention to detail and delivering high quality results on time.

Key job responsibilities

Effectively communicate (written and verbal) data led performance updates and testing plans to senior management

Define and execute the Paid Search strategies across varying campaigns based on business goals

Lead conversations and effectively collaborate across external and internal partners to identify testing opportunities, drive successful launches, and continually achieve goals

Derive insights from data and synthesize and deliver improvements to campaign performance

Identify improvements to customer experience and manage prioritization between impact, scope, and time to market

Write joint business review documents, experimentation roadmaps and campaign plans that work backwards from the customer

Experience running an SEM program: strong knowledge of bidding strategies, best practices, budget management, and executing experiments, proficient with Google Ads

A day in the life

You’ll analyze granular performance detail to identify microtrends and optimize against them to ensure weekly goals are met. You will align with the local team on bidding decisions and challenge performance/approach to identify areas of enhancement. You will act as a contact for cross-team engagement; creating partnerships internally, proposing tests to support new objectives, and leading stakeholder communication on progress. Trends and tests will be shared with the WW PS team to allow collaboration on new opportunities. As the lead of one of the strongest channels, you will also interact with senior leadership to ensure visibility across areas of interest.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

– Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

– Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

– Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

– Experience communicating results to senior leadership

– Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights

– Experience with Salesforce and Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
