The Role
We are seeking to add a highly motivated Paralegal who will be responsible for providing legal support to Lord Abbett’s institutional, investments, and international areas. This individual will work closely with the attorneys who support the institutional, investments, and international teams on various matters and requires excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and collaboration. The candidate must
be a demonstrated self-starter who is highly organized.
We’ll trust you to:
• Assist with updating Confidentiality Agreements, Investor Representation Letters, trading agreements as well as other corporate agreements.
• Prepare documentation for sub-custody account openings and renewals.
• Prepare and file Regulation D filings for private funds and relevant Blue-Sky filings.
• Assist with preparing and filing the firm’s Form ADV and Form PF.
• Assist with filing, proofreading and drafting documents as needed.
• Update and maintain matrixes, questionnaires, and charts for the Legal-Institutional and Legal-Investments teams.
• Coordinate responses to KYC and AML requests.
• Respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities with ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple detailed tasks.
• Assist in Board meeting prep for international affiliates and funds
• Process legal invoices
• Other duties as assigned.
You’ll need to have:
• College degree required.
• Some corporate governance and financial services experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $85,000 – $100,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
