General Statement of Duties
Forsyth County’s Parks and Recreation Department has a great opportunity to work part time in a beautiful park setting with a flexible schedule as a Park Attendant. This position will primarily work in the gate house. Responsibilities include operating a point of sale system to collect park entrance fees; recording vehicles for direct billed events; assisting customers that may have questions; and following opening and closing procedures as outlined. May assist with coverage in other park areas as needed.
This is a part-time year round position. Working weekends, holidays, and weekdays is a must.
This position will work approximately 10-19 hours a week and requires standing for long periods of time.

Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public.
Ability to operate a cash register.
Good cash handling skills.
Ability to do simple financial reports.
Minimum Education and Experience
Ability to read and write information relevant to perform the work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs related work as required.
Maintains order and ensures compliance with park rules.
Opens and closes park according to schedule; records daily tally of traffic counter.
Provides information to park patrons regarding rules and regulations.
Operates a Point of Sale system.
Prepares daily financial reports and deposits.
