Required Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of basic building operation, repairs, equipment used and cleaning buildings.
- Basic knowledge of the practices and techniques of landscape maintenance, tree care, and basic landscape construction techniques.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for this line of work.
- Possession of valid driver’s license by date of hire. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver’s license within 30 days.
- Ability to maintain acceptable driving record.
- Completion of a background investigation to the satisfaction of the City.
- Demonstrated ability to be punctual, self-motivated and responsive to feedback.
- Good communicator with a positive attitude.
Additional EligibilityRequirements:
- Experience with equipment operation, towing trailers, loading trailers, and general knowledge of home garden equipment.
Available Schedules:
- 8 hours daily, Tuesday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

- Cleaning park restrooms and opening/closing restrooms or park areas.
- Responsible for removing trash and ground litter in City of Medford Parks, Right of Ways, and facility areas.
- Ability to operate hand held and gas powered equipment.
- Ability to operate a riding mower and tractor.
- Performing landscape and equipment maintenance.
- May be required to drive a City vehicle to various park locations.
- Assisting park staff in a variety of daily tasks or special projects.
