Required Education and Experience:

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older by date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of basic building operation, repairs, equipment used and cleaning buildings.
• Basic knowledge of the practices and techniques of landscape maintenance, tree care, and basic landscape construction techniques.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for this line of work.
• Possession of valid driver’s license by date of hire. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver’s license within 30 days.
• Ability to maintain acceptable driving record.
• Completion of a background investigation to the satisfaction of the City.
• Demonstrated ability to be punctual, self-motivated and responsive to feedback.
• Good communicator with a positive attitude.

Additional EligibilityRequirements:

• Experience with equipment operation, towing trailers, loading trailers, and general knowledge of home garden equipment.

Available Schedules:

• 8 hours daily, Tuesday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

• Cleaning park restrooms and opening/closing restrooms or park areas.
• Responsible for removing trash and ground litter in City of Medford Parks, Right of Ways, and facility areas.
• Ability to operate hand held and gas powered equipment.
• Ability to operate a riding mower and tractor.
• Performing landscape and equipment maintenance.
• May be required to drive a City vehicle to various park locations.
