General Description of Position:
The Student Services Part-Time Assistant assists Student Affairs by providing a professional, helpful, welcoming atmosphere and positive attitude for faculty, staff, students, families, callers, and visitors of the campus. This position provides support of the general, day-to-day administrative, operational and clerical tasks related to departments within Student Affairs.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Provides coverage for various Student Affairs departments including answering phones, transfer calls, take messages;
send and receive departmental emails.
2. Assists with student outreach projects using Salesforce, SMS outreach platforms, and other campus systems.
3. Assists students with accessing and utilizing their student account to access records, complete assessments, register
for classes, and submit documentation.
4. Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
5. Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of student enrollment records in compliance with College and the Family
Educational Rights Privacy Act (FERPA).
6. All other duties as assigned, consistent with commonly accepted practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency required along with 2 years general office experience or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree is preferred.
Other Requirements:
Candidate needs to be able to recognize the need to maintain accuracy and confidentiality of student enrollment records and be a team player. In addition to experience and knowledge of computer software (including all Microsoft products) and data entry skills being required, good listening and customer service skills in working with the general public as well as college personnel are also required.

28 hours a week
