Provides eligible Sedgwick County residents with ramp accessible, door-to-door transportation in a safe and timely manner.
Transport Clients
- Greet clients professionally and promptly
- Transport clients from designated locations
- Ensure safety of passengers on vehicle
- Follow rules of the road and procedures for Sedgwick County
- Read maps
- Know area geography and road signage
Vehicle Maintenance
- Perform Pre and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles
- Identify maintenance required and at required mileage for Fleet Maintenance
- Deliver vehicles to Fleet for identified maintenance needs
- Clean interior and exterior of vehicle
- Keep vehicles filled with fuel
Record Keeping
- Maintain transportation logs for each vehicle
- Maintain passenger sign in list. Report issues to supervisor.
- Track start and end mileage
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid Kansas Driver’s license and current proof of automobile insurance. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and meet driver qualification standards as set forth in Sedgwick County’s Fleet Vehicle Operation and Usage policy. Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC/CCBHC licensing standards and pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens. Must complete orientations provided by Sedgwick County and COMCARE. In order to comply with the requirements of the federal health care staff COVID-19 vaccination mandate, all employees of COMCARE and the Health Department must be fully vaccinated. All offers of employment are contingent upon submission of vaccination documentation prior to start date.
