Position Overview
Are you seeking an opportunity to start a career that is lucrative and expanding? Become a Permit and Inspections Specialist with Positive Energy Solar and get started on a career path in the growing solar industry! This unique position offers a combination of work both inside, and outside of the office. The person in this part time position will be responsible for permitting, coordinating inspections, and providing support to the Project Management Team. Responsibilities
- Submit and manage the approvals for utility interconnections and permit applications.
- Coordinate inspections with customers, project managers, and inspectors.
- Deliver ladders and permits to job sites as needed.
- Provide weekly reports on number of utility and permit approvals obtained.
- Document and track inspection, utility, and permit application status.
- Pick up ladders after inspections.
- Collaborate with team to improve processes and increase quality and efficiency of projects.
- May be required to coordinate permits and inspections in locations outside of the Santa Fe area.
- Other duties as needed to support the organization.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in electrical work or construction is preferred.
- Experience working with inspectors is a plus.
- Strong communication skills
- Computer skills, Google Drive, Project Management Software, Microsoft, Excel, Word, Email
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, & have ability to set priorities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to carry ladders, climb ladders, walk on roofs, walk on uneven ground.
