About the Part-Time Public Programs Coordinator role:

BRIC seeks a Part Time Public Programs Coordinator to support the Youth Education & Family Programs team and Teaching Artists in the successful execution of program workshops, seasonal Family Days, and the Guided Visits Program through scheduling, coordination and equipment oversight.

What You’ll Do in the Role:

The Public Programs Coordinator will be responsible for the following in addition to any other project as assigned by their manager, Director of Youth Education & Family Programs:

  • Act as the first point of contact for partner institutions for public program requests.
  • Support Producer and the Education Department to coordinate seasonal ‘Family Days’ including: staffing events with BRIC teaching artists, ordering supplies, maintaining inventory.
  • Allocate materials for BRIC House group visits program and public programs.
  • Work with the Education Team to assign Teaching Artists to group visits and public program workshops, overseeing the availability of 30-40 Teaching Artists.
  • Coordinate equipment delivery and supplies to workshop sites.
  • Collaborate with BRIC curatorial department to schedule tours and implement BRIC programming in-house and off-site.
  • Function as Teaching Artist substitute for public programs as needed.

  • Experience and qualifications:
    • 2+ years in a non-profit setting
    • Cultural institution experience preferred
    • 3+ years as a teaching artist, museum educator
  • Communication: An emotionally intelligent, values, and results-driven team player who can collaborate across departments and at all levels of the organization. An excellent communicator who prioritizes customer service.
  • Commitment to Equity & Inclusion: Brings experience operationalizing equity within this role.

Other Things to Know:

  • Compensation: This hourly rate for this position is $20-$22.
  • Status and location: This is a part-time onsite position, 20-30 hours/week.
