General Description: The primary objective of this position is to oversee and execute the recruitment, training, retention, and capacity building of the San Antonio Food Banks partner network throughout the service territory. The position must ensure strategic overview of the service territory, ongoing compliance, and a general administration of the policies and guidelines of the San Antonio Food Bank, Feeding America, and the Texas Department of Agriculture as they relate to partner agencies access to food inventory received including but not limited to TEFAP, CSFP, donated and purchased product. With this, the position will ensure constant, equitable, and compliant food distribution to eligible individuals of the community.
Essential Functions:
- Develop processes to ensure effective, efficient, and strategic operations of the Partner Engagement team within the Food for Today efforts, keeping in mind continuous quality improvement and promoting a culture of safety for staff, volunteers and guests.
- Develop strategies to build network partner capacity to better serve clients facing hunger. This includes connecting clients with additional services that can assist with addressing root causes of food insecurity.
- Play an active role in networking and collaborating with counterparts throughout the Feeding America Network to include other food banks.
- Oversee and support the individualized implementation of relationships made by partner engagement coordinators within our service area.
- Supervise staff and promote an environment of inspired teamwork where staff is driven by a passion for service and empowered to excellence.
- Ensure strategies exist and are implemented to meet the needs of underserved areas by researching the community for gaps in service and offering individualized plans to meet the need of that service area.
- Participate in the collection and analyzation of data that can be associated with the strategic implementation of partners in underserved areas allowing to quantify the output and outcomes of services.
- Ensure a familiarity of the compliance policies and procedures of the San Antonio Food Bank, Feeding America and the Texas Department of Agriculture.
- Ensure the fair and equitable distribution of product to all partners via agency ordering and any other forms of product distributions.
- Periodically audit, review and update agency files, licenses, inspections and permits.
- Develop and conduct regular workshops and training programs for partners to expand beyond food needs to include but not limited to: nutrition, federal benefit eligibility, workforce and job placement.
- Develop and implement procedures for annual gathering of demographic data on partner clientele.
- Participate in a retention plan to foster agency growth, build capacity and reduce recidivism.
- Assist in events related to Food for Today efforts and other departments when necessary.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university preferred.
- Experience in training and supervision.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal; including the ability for effective public speaking.
- Bilingual Preferred.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work collectively with other staff, volunteers, and organizational personnel.
- Contributes to Solution-Based discussions including providing thought provoking discussion points and is committed to solving problems.
- Orientation to detail, accuracy, and the meeting of deadlines.
- Good judgment and discretion.
- Ability to represent the Food Bank in a courteous, professional manner.
- Possession of a current Texas drivers license and insurance.
- Access to reliable transportation.

Work Environment
This job is performed in an indoor office environment and occasionally may require attendance at outdoor events. You may be required to drive to different locations with varying conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
