Overview
This position is to perform a variety of duties related to the pickup, inspection, processing, delivering, and/or storing of parts and equipment for the maintenance and mill departments.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and receive a variety of parts and equipment.
- Drive a company vehicle to deliver and pick up parts and equipment at sites; load and unload vehicle.
- Receive, process and store parts and equipment.
- Receive and process delivery receipts.
- Read and interpret shipping documents and packing lists to verify items and quantities being shipped or received.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
- Operate forklift to load/unload and move materials around facility as required.
- Assist in conducting necessary follow-up activities to finalize purchase order transactions.
- Provide services as a courier to transport documents and materials.
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Effectively map daily parts pick-up routes.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
- Prepare and maintain routine records and travel logs.
- Observe company safety policies and adhere to safe material handling practices.
- Maintain good working relationships with production and maintenance personnel.
- General cleaning and housekeeping of the Maintenance Shop.
- Other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Clerk and/or Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required
- Valid driver license required
- Clean driving record.
- 1 year experience operating a forklift
- Clerical and or warehouse receiving functions are highly desirable.

Physical Requirments
- Must be able to lift and/or move 60 lbs on a regular basis
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations of 175 ft.
- Required to Stand and walk, climb onto and off equipment frequently.
- Regularly lift and/or move heavy objects.
- Some tasks require employee to work outside in the environment for extended periods of time.
Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
- The employee will be regularly exposed to very dusty and noisy conditions
- The employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions
- The employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process
The pay range for this position is $16.50/hr to $20/hr. The Company offers paid vacation time, paid sick leave, medical, dental and vision plans as well as a 401(k) with employer match.
