The Scriptwriter/Writer creates blueprints and details of the script based on concepts or ideas. They develop story elements to translate the creative vision into stories for production, with a deep understanding of the storyline and target audience. As part of the production team, they work closely with cross-functional partners to review and revise the script to fit audience appeal. They review the work to ensure it meets required editorial standards. They also have an understanding of how to translate scripts to various visual media. They should possess strong grammar and writing capability, be creative, patient and motivated to work.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- As a Scriptwriter you will write scripts for product video, documentary shorts, and marketing projects or podcast programs. You might specialize in a particular type of writing and you might work on an original piece or an adaptation of an existing story.
- Craft instructional, educational scripts for exercise therapy products and physical therapy guidance videos.
- Create overall narrative arcs.
- Break down narrative into blocks of stories (per episode).
- Collaborate and develop storyboards within the Video Production unit.
- Create scripts and voiceovers.
- Participate in weekly brainstorming sessions with the video team.
- Review interview transcripts.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Portfolio that showcases your strong skills in scriptwriting, storyboard, and product design.
- Demonstrate a track record in video storytelling, as well as strong research and writing skills.
- Experience working at production and broadcasting companies.
- Exceptional written fluency in English and be able to turn ad hoc stories around in a matter of days.
- Excellent communicator with internal and external partners and need very little hand-holding to produce great scripts.
- Attentive to respond to daily inquiries.

The range of base salary for the position is between $102,100 – $185,500, plus equity, and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
