The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Peer Services Coordinator to be responsible for developing policies/procedures, workflow processes and support for peer specialist workforce members throughout CCH. This position will provide ongoing training, assistance, and support to peer specialists through coordinating communication, data collection and will collaborate with staff to assure adherence to the unique peer services work model. You will ensure compliance and high-quality services throughout the organization with primary focus on the following four domains: recruiting and training of new peer positions; integrating peers positions within the teams in which they work; coordinating and providing ongoing support for peer positions, supervisors and team members; sustaining and expanding peer services across the agency. Other essential functions include assisting in The Coalition’s efforts towards continuous quality improvement with regular reporting and analysis of workflow, supervision, and training; as well as working with leadership and compliance staff to identify risks through process review and other compliance efforts. This position is located at 2100 Broadway, Denver, Colorado 80205 and reports to the Director of Employment Services.
NOTE: In order to ensure that our consumers receive the best possible care the candidate chosen to fill this position will be required to complete our internal credentialing and privileging process prior to a start date. The credentialing and privileging timeline is dependent on the selected candidate’s submission of documents necessary for clearance.Please note that a start date will be scheduled once credentialing and privileging is complete.

Essential Job Functions
- Meet with peer specialists one-on-one and in a group setting regularly to provide training, support, consultation, and guidance.
- Run the Monthly Peer Team Meeting
- Creates a culture of learning by sharing relevant reading and training material to peer specialists, works alongside supervisors to identify and coordinate training opportunities, and works with individual peer specialists on forming professional development plans.
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with agencies that provide peer specialist training and with peer specialist associations in metro-Denver to recruit qualified peer specialists.
- Assist hiring managers in creating job descriptions that are consistent with the peer role.
- Ensure peer specialist participation in interview panels for peer specialist positions.
- Assist in the onboarding process of newly hired peers to facilitate integration of new peer staff.
- Coordinate peer specialist trainings with outside agencies (e.g. Peer Specialist, Recovery Coach, Wellness & Recovery Action Planning, etc.) as well as internal opportunities
- Support management of the credentialing process with the state of Colorado to help peers attain the peer specialist credential on schedule.
- Provide training for supervisors who are planning to onboard peers onto their teams.
- Provide training for team members who will be working alongside peers as fellow professionals.
- Maintain oversight of peer specialists related to requirements for continuing education and recertification.
- Provide regular consultation with supervisors around critical issues to ensure continued success of peers on the team (e.g. role differentiation, role drift, boundaries, support, etc.)
- Supports the quality assurance compliance team around documentation of peer services in the EHR provides training and data quality support and oversight.
- Consult with supervisors as needed around performance issues involving peer specialists.
- Meet with other programs to explore new opportunities to increase the size and scope of peer services at CCH.
- Developing reporting mechanisms for reporting on trainings held or attended by peer staff, client services provided and longevity of peer specialist positions at CCH.
- Work with the Vocational team to develop and coordinate peer training as a career path for any CCH client.

Qualifications Summary
