The Role
The People Development Partner for Education Programs will lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive Employee Education Assistance Program. The Program aims to support our diverse workforce in their pursuit of technical training, higher education, and professional development. The role is both hands-on and tactical, overseeing key external relationships and working with cross-functional internal teams to develop innovative educational solutions for driving employee upskilling at scale and along clear career pathways. Responsibilities
- Lead the review and selection process for educational curriculum, coordinating with business-unit leaders, learning and development teams, and HR partners to build and continuously grow a comprehensive library of offerings serving diverse learner needs across role profiles and sites
- Support the integration of education programs with related ongoing initiatives across sites and business-units
- Identify curriculum gaps and manage a request-for-proposals process to facilitate the development of custom courses, meeting Tesla’s particular needs
- Maintain productive relationships with higher-learning institutions across sites
- Organize and lead ongoing marketing campaigns to drive program adoption, including digital and in-person communications, workshops, trainings, and roundtables
- Develop and manage processes and protocols for servicing learner inquiries and driving learner success (i.e., program completion)
- Work across internal tax, accounting, payroll, financial, and legal teams to establish processes and protocols for ensuring compliance with all relevant governmental policies
- Design, collect, and analyze data on program effectiveness and impact.
- Coordinate across internal stakeholders to project manage the seamless integration and operation of external technologies and internal systems
- Build and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance the employee experience, impact reporting, and technological integrations
- Participate in and support initiatives led by the broader People Development team and HR organization, including New Hire Onboarding, Leader Development, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Employee Engagement, People Operations, and Internal Content, providing educational expertise and perspective
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in a relevant field, including Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or Education, or the equivalent in work-related experience
- 2+ years’ experience in learning and development, people operations, or HR
- 2+ years’ experience in project/program management, with a proven track record managing large-scale, rapidly-deployed initiatives.
- Experience working with higher-learning institutions, managing third-party vendor relationships, and/or implementing learning technologies highly valued
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively interact and influence across all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including an ability to build impact reporting infrastructure, synthesize complex data, and make data-driven recommendations
- Proven planning and organization skills, with extreme attention to detail and an ability to successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
- Experience working as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an iterative process and an agile development methodology.

- Expected Compensation
$60,000 – $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
