Role: Oracle Peoplesoft Consultant

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Remote)

Relevant Experience: 10 Years

Job Description: As a Peoplesoft Consultant, you will be a part of a team responsible for the client’s Peoplesoft FSCM 24/7 environment. While each team member has a primary skill set, they are also expected to learn and contribute to areas outside of their primary skill set. The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication. You will be expected to be a well-regarded and respected individual contributor; possess strong inter-personal skills, as well as proven track record of application development with skills in Java, distributed cache technology and building scalable robust systems. In return you will have opportunity to gain exposure to designing, developing, and deploying applications to the internal/external cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support/day-to-day operational support for the applications in scope in a 24*7 work environment
  • Incident Monitoring, Acknowledgement and resolution as per defined SLA’s
  • Responsible for monitoring the services as per the defined SLAs
  • Work on enabling proactive alerts and defining proactive health check procedures
  • Create knowledge documents, SOP’s and update run-books
  • Interact with the client Technical/Business Team on day to day basis for productions issues, user issues and bugs
  • Communicate issues, risks, and concerns to project leadership and IT Service Manager of the client
  • Weekly and monthly status reporting, provide updates about Cognizant deliverables to stakeholders
  • Work with 3rd party vendors / customer for integration issues, incidents involving dependency on other teams, service requests, problems and changes through resolution to closure
  • Create problem records for critical and repetitive incidents
  • Provide preliminary analysis and coordinate with development team for permanent code fixes and bug fixes
  • Coordinate / collaborate with offshore team to hand-over/take-over of incidents/work requests during night time

Mandatory Skills:

  • PeopleSoft Finance FSCM (Techno Functional) resource with Production support experience
  • Knowledge/experienced in PeopleSoft Finance (FSCM) 9.x with General Ledger and Accounts Payable modules
  • Strong English proficiency
  • Having good knowledge on cloud is a plus
  • In case of any production issue, the support person should raise an incident and work with the concerned team.
  • Should also be able to identify opportunities for continuous service improvements and performance improvements
  • Should have experience in documentation activities
  • All the known errors should be documented in team portal. All the steps for trouble shooting also should be documented.
  • Should attend daily customer calls, regarding the batch process. Should be able to update the customer on the SLA and various issues faced on the batch process.
  • Should be able to work with other dependent teams as well for any issue resolution.
  • Should be aware of the escalation process and escalation matrix followed in the client organization.
  • Should have experience in Unix, Oracle database
  • Good experience in working with Clients, business at onshore locations

Nice to Have Skills:

Oracle Cloud, APEX, OFSAA

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $90,500/Year to $115,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
