CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Performance Tester to join our financial services team in Reston, VA, Sterling, VA or Washington DC. Join a fast-paced team working on cloud implementation effort. Looking for a strong Software Engineer who has experience in Performance Testing/Engineering with JMeter and Loadrunner experience. AWS experience is required.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• In this role as a Performance Test Engineer , you will be a subject matter expert and executioner of Performance engineering testing and practices
• You will execute performance tests on a large, critical system as part of a team of engineers but also with focus on your own components and teams.
• You will advise management and teams on leveraging best practices for performance testing and efficiently verifying system performance as part of CICD.
• You will apply your hands on technical expertise and leadership to accelerate best-in-class performance engineering practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 6+ years of related experience
• Experiened in collecting of NFRs, how to attach NFRs to User Stories feature level, define the acceptance criteria for Perf Testing done against user feature level
• Knowledge of SRE Concepts
• Unit Level Micro bench Perf Testing: Code Profiling using Java Profilers, multi-thread JUnit Method Performance
• App performance monitoring – Advance level Dynatrace Usage, User Experience Monitoring, Dashboarding, App performance hotspot analysis, setup alerts
• Understanding/knowledge of Microservices with Java, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
• Understanding/knowledge of code branching strategy: Gitflow, Trunk based development
• Understanding/knowledge of ECS Fargate, Docker Container Service, AWS Lambda
• Hands-on experience in understanding CloudWatch logs
• Understanding/knowledge of Chaos Engineering Practices
• Understanding/Hands-on experience in usage of DevWeb IDE protocol for LoadRunner Developer
• Hands-on experience in Perf CI/CD Test Pipeline as Quality Gates during Build phase
• Proficient with container systems: Docker and container orchestration
• Log analytics – Splunk usage, strong experience in developing Splunk Queries, Dashboarding, alerts setup
• Strategies/approach for Chaos Engineering experimentation
• System availability metrics – Cloudwatch alarm/alerts setup
• Network packet loss/capture analysis
• Good programming knowledge in JAVA, Python
• Ability to read Microservice code in IDEs(IntelliJ)
• DB tuning expertise
• Kinesis Data streaming services
• AWS Messaging: SQS, SNS
• Dynamo db, Postgres
• JVM Tuning – Memory dump/CPU sampling analysis
• Ability to collaborate and work with stakeholders across multiple groups
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other engineering teams and key business stakeholders
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
• 6+ years of related enterprise experience

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $59,700.00 – $146,900.00.
