Personal Finance & Compliance Manager

Job Description:

The Manager, Personal Finance & Compliance (Commerce Partnerships Manager)will be responsible for supporting Buy Side from WSJ’s commerce team by growing affiliate revenue and managing all compliance requests and updates for credit card, tax, and other finance categories. This is a highly collaborative role that will interact closely across multiple Dow Jones business units in order to execute on KPIs. The position reports directly to the Director of Commerce Partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Buy Side Content
  • Organize and manage subaffiliate and direct partner offerings via modules, links, banner ads, product cards, etc.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, networks, and partners
  • Monitor onsite ads and work with partners to create, refine, and update to improve conversion
  • Meet with editorial to address upcoming content, answer monetization questions, etc.
  • Develop expertise across finance categories
  • Optimize ads and links in content
  • Track performance and provide regular reporting
  • Evaluate potential new partnerships
  • Negotiate commission rates, revenue shares, and other payment terms
  • Secure and facilitate exclusive deals for the Buy Side Exclusives platform
  • Compliance
  • Manage all compliance requests and updates for credit card, tax, and any other relevant categories
  • Organize compliance process and system to proactively identify all potential updates within copy and product cards.
  • Communicate with editorial around any needs for updates and edits
  • Monitor rates, fees, and terms so content is up to date across all products
  • Organize requirements for different issuers, subaffiliates, etc.
  • Create compliance documentation as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business
  • Ability to be nimble and adaptable to change when priorities shift
  • An interest in news and media, particularly in emerging technologies and trends in the industry
  • Understanding and expertise of marketing, including developing brands through awareness and consideration and leveraging content to drive traffic, acquisition and engagement
  • Excellent project manager able to keep teams to a tight deadline and manage stakeholders at all levels across the business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage workload effectively in a fast paced environment
  • College degree (or equivalent), preferably in marketing, communications, or a business discipline.
  • 5 -7 years working experience in media preferred

Pay Range: $100,000 – $250,000
