Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy is seeking an individual with experience in maintenance practices of electrical switch gear, motor control centers, and associated control systems. The position will provide local support for equipment maintenance, operation and troubleshooting.
Knowledge and/or hands on experience with all electrical and instrumentation systems in a power plant including DCS control systems. Troubleshooting and repair is desirable
Other duties will include:
• Actively demonstrate caring for the safety and wellbeing of the individual and team at all times.
• Share process knowledge in safety, environmental, & maintenance practices and procedures with the Center of Work Excellence
• Replicate knowledge through the power generation division on-line technician forums
• Knowledge of Safe work practices
• High quality written and verbal communication skills desired
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Job Overview
Employees in this role direct a team of production and maintenance technicians and contractors in plant maintenance activities. Individuals in this position lead internal and external resources to Deliver Certainty, executing plant maintenance to achieve short and long term site goals and objectives in safety, environmental, compliance, reliability, availability and cost management.
