Job Description
This position is remote and can sit in the footprint of Providence in the states of WA and OR.
The Pharmacy Business Analyst & Coordinator – Managed Care, works with key internal and external stakeholders to design, implement, and manage the necessary business requirements to ensure accurate processing of prescription claims for clients and members of Providence Health Plan. This role requires knowledge of pharmacy benefit design and pharmacy benefit management tactics. Coordination between multiple departments including sales, account management, product, compliance, analytics, and pharmacy systems will be required to delivery successful results. Key functions of this role include managing day to day client requests, preparing, analyzing and presenting complex data sets, coordinating implementation requirements of benefit changes, and managing special projects. The successful candidate for this role will be an independent self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a background working in the pharmacy department at a health plan or pharmacy benefit manager.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration or Healthcare related field or
- Medication and drug product category training and medical terminology.
- 5 years’ Experience as a Pharmacy Technician or directly related field.
- 1 year Managed care pharmacy experience
Preferred qualifications:
- 4 years additional experience as a Pharmacy Technician or a related healthcare field
- Experience working at a pharmacy benefit manager in an account support or lead role
- Project management, Six Sigma Change Acceleration Process (CAP), LEAN, and Work Out experience.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of tools
The salary range listed for this position MIN:$30.48 to MAX:$49.21 is based upon the primary work location posted. This position is remote. Salary range and offers are determined by internal pay equity and geographic cost of living differences. Salary rage will vary from State and region. Salary max is limited to 90% range in order to continue to offer internal pay growth. We welcome open and transparent discussions on salary at Providence.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
