About the Role:
Uber’s Trust & Security Organization is looking for an experienced individual to lead its Physical Security Systems (PSS) Builds and Access Control & Badging (AC&B) programs. This individual will be responsible for leading Uber’s global footprint of security systems. This includes maintaining and repairing any current systems, leading new security processes, and badging operations on a global scale.

What You’ll Do
– Lead a global team of Technical Project Managers to prepare, install, and test physical security systems throughout Uber’s sites
– Run technical physical security systems, solutions, and integrations within Uber’s ecosystem, to include the following system types: physical access control, CCTV, visitor management, radio-over-IP, and associated technical infrastructure
– Lead Uber’s Builds and Access Control & Badging program to ensure new building project installations are sufficiently hardened with physical security systems to mitigate risks and access controls are appropriately run
– Align the Builds program with the Systems Administration team to ensure security installations are appropriately and timely programmed and commissioned
– Review PSS policies and procedural documentation to ensure alignment with industry best practices and standards as well as to Uber’s risk posture
– Ensure seamless employee, contractor, and visitor access to Uber’s sites by leading a global network of staff
– Collaborate effectively with Regional Security Managers to understand security risks and how PSS fits into mitigation strategies
– Effectively manage the PSS Builds and AC&B budget, to include identifying spending efficiencies through contract negotiations with vendors
Basic Qualifications
– Minimum of 8+ years of experience in leading technical security operation teams OR minimum of 7+ years and +1 Uber internal experience.
Preferred Qualifications
– Demonstrated breadth of experience leading and setting strategy for global operations; ability to get big, often complex, things done.
– Experience handling a large budget, security contracts, and purchase orders; ability to successfully manage vendor relationships.
– The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in an exciting, fast-paced environment, both collaborating as a team to stay in sync and working independently to get the job done.
– Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with both business leaders and cross-functional partners, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner across functions to build consensus.
– Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action.

For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $129,000 per year – $143,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $143,000 per year – $158,500 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $143,000 per year – $158,500 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber’s bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
