Summary:

We are looking for a Physical Therapist/Injury Manager to support our Human Performance Optimization (HPO) contract with the United States Air Force based at Camp Murray. The Physical Therapist will assess patient needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitoring progress.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Evaluate patient’s physical condition and develop a plan of care
  • Assess patient’s progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Document patient’s progress and treatment plans in accordance with professional standards
  • Communicate with referring physicians about the patient’s progress
  • Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well-rounded care
  • Prepares and submits clinical and progress summaries based on the attainment of goals
  • Prepares and submits a clinical progress summary based on the attainment of goals as directed by Organization policy

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in physical therapy from a credentialed college or university and a valid state physical therapy license with board certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) as either an Orthopedic or Sports Clinical Specialist (O/SCS)
  • Required to have additional credentials as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association or as a Sports Performance Coach through the United States of America Weightlifting Association (USAWA)
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working with athletes within the military Special Operations Forces (SOF) community, National Collegiate Athletic Association, or professional sports
  • Shall within 6 months have a demonstrated history of performing manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, Graston Technique soft tissue mobilization and functional taping
  • Shall be required to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges. PT shall maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be credentialed. Previous experience working with MHS Genesis or other DoD credentialed electronic medical record system is highly desired for the IM position
  • Shall be capable of meeting physical demands of training with SOF including the ability to hike over rough terrain and function in austere environments to observe SOF training evolutions, the ability to assist with strength and conditioning testing and training protocols, and the ability to lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 20 kilograms
  • Shall be able to successfully pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in physical therapy from a credentialed college
  • Possess a security clearance

The salary range for this position is $107,000 to $125,000 per year.
