Pay rate range is: $24-$28/hr, DOE
The Plan and Profile Locate Tech performs the task of locating all underground utility markings for excavation purposes. Works, drives, and walks over all types of terrain (grass, gravel, ditches) in and around construction zones and residential, commercial, industrial and rural areas in all types of weather conditions.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Utilizes and maintains various company issued locate tools and equipment for proper use, storage, and upkeep
- Utilizes maps / blueprints to interpret facilities to determine the presence of underground utilities
- Completes all work in an organized, timely manner, within standard operating procedure
- Removes and replaces manhole lids
- Uses laptop computer or other electronic devices to receive and document status of excavation notices
- Communicates effectively with supervision, operational support, and clients
- Performs project quality control
- Performs all duties assigned in a SAFE manner on private and public work areas
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Experience:
- 2+ (two plus) years experience locating underground utilities
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of a valid State Driver’s License is required
- Candidates must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated physical as a requirement of the job and pass a pre-employment drug screen
Education or Formal Training:
- HS Diploma or GED
