Plant Maintenance Manager – Global Manufacturer of Food – Denver, Colorado
The Plant Maintenance Manager role is a key position responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and maintenance of plant resources while delivering on the company’s Compelling Business Need (CBN)
Location : Denver, CO
Salary : $90,000 – $105,000 (based on experience) + benefits package
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Reliability and Availability: You will be responsible for ensuring that all plant equipment is reliable and available for production.
- Capital Plan Execution: Lead the execution of the plant’s capital plan and oversee small infrastructure projects.
- Budget Management: Control the maintenance labor and expense budget within the plant.
- Talent Development: Identify, select, and develop talent within the maintenance and reliability department to ensure a strong workforce.
- Maintenance Department SWP Board: Take ownership of the Maintenance Department SWP Board, understand and communicate KPIs, perform gap analysis, and implement training plans to meet plant CBN.
- Maintenance Standards: Implement and maintain standards for breakdown elimination, planning & scheduling, lubrication, predictive maintenance, maintenance information systems, shop tools/facilities, and inventory management.
- Collaboration: Partner with plant leadership, operations, and maintenance teams to improve equipment through preventive and predictive maintenance practices, with a focus on reducing equipment deterioration.
- Autonomous Maintenance: Support autonomous maintenance practices, including safety maps, centerlines, defect handling, clean/inspect/lube tasks, to reduce unplanned downtimes.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis to identify planned and unplanned losses and allocate resources effectively.
- Project Support: Support, lead, and assist with plant projects to achieve productivity goals.
- Engineering Collaboration: Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure all project deliverables are complete and implemented to meet resource goals.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with the Quality department to ensure adherence to quality and safety programs, including USDA, SQF, BRC, GMP, HACCP, FSQI, HAACP, and CAPA.
Qualifications:
- Regulatory Knowledge: General knowledge of USDA, SQF, BRC, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, quality, and safety programs is required.
- Continuous Improvement: Experience leading continuous improvement teams successfully.
- Management Experience: Ability to manage 3-8+ people through minimal direct subordinates.
- Influential Leadership: Ability to influence plant leadership and drive cultural change regarding safety, food quality, and reliability.
- Certification: CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) certification.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field.
- CMMS Systems: 5+ years of experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Technical Manufacturing Leadership: 7+ years of experience in technical manufacturing leadership roles.
- TPM and AM/PM Implementation: Experience leading Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) implementations.
