Our client is looking for a Plant Technical Analyst in Decatur, IL. In this role, the candidate will be using established procedures and policies applies skills and knowledge to identify, document, investigate, research, and resolve hardware questions and problems in a timely manner while maintaining positive relationships with users. Advanced skills and knowledge of electronics equipment to properly analyze, install and troubleshoot printers, headsets, phones, and all network cabling from data and voice centers to end users.
Job Responsibilities:
*Partner with the GT Global Support Teams, OT Teams and MFG Automation teams for proper day to day *Operational support and request work flows
*Alignment with the Global Service Desk, SL Support and PA Support teams.
*Monitor and Assist with all day to day Operations ticket flows and communications to assure alignment to the FMO GT Operating model.
*Support the development & Integration of ‘Connected factory floor’ solutions into the GT/OT Services Delivery model
*Maintains a Positive work environment through Teamwork & Proper Conflict Resolutions
*Basic knowledge of order and inventory applications for receiving, Creating, closing work tickets and trouble tickets.
*Be Proficient in Wireless WAN/LAN design, Installation and troubleshooting for MFG Facilities
*Working with MFG campus sites and local departments for company end user moves, adds and changes.
*Follow steps to properly order, configure, install, replace, and troubleshoot networked timeclock hardware
*Perform, delegate, and monitor the ordering, configuring, installing, replacing, and troubleshooting of networked timeclock hardware
*Perform, delegate, and monitor shop floor troubleshooting of fork truck mounted warehouse management computers and systems
*Perform, delegate, and monitor support of Zebra printers for warehouse management
*Perform, delegate, and monitor ALL support of Handheld Scanners for warehouse management systems
*Perform, delegate, and monitor ALL support of Handheld Scanners for new users, PC”s, or any MFG physical locations
*Perform, delegate, and monitor support of printer and peripheral installs based on Print Smart guidelines,
*Perform, delegate, and monitor support of EUC tasks, PC, Phones, headset installs, moves, adds and changes, and all other general work as assigned for MFG Facilities
*Assist users on the MFG shop floor with GT technical issues and support
*Share knowledge of Technology risks and improvement opportunities to help improve efficiencies and effectiveness to our Global GT MFG Support
*Be Accountable for MFG Project Implementation transition to the proper support organizations thru proper documentation and Knowledge transfer
*Partner with Installations to help Manage and control large MFG infrastructure projects to ensure timelines and schedules are met for all MFG Facilities
*Work with 3rd party vendors on escalated issues; assist in managing vendor relationships pertaining to MFG Support
Qualifications:
*3+ years of experience in Operational Technology (OT) within a Manufacturing environment
*Experience in Networking in Wireless WAN/LAN design, Installation and troubleshooting
